A North Island Kiwi from the Coromandel, I migrated south in 2008 and am proud to call Dunedin home.
My dream career started 25+ years ago as a Sea Kayak Guide — until a back injury from surfing and sailing around the South Pacific brought it to a halt. That injury set me on a path of discovery and a lasting passion for understanding and treating back pain. Now, with over 20 years of clinical experience, chronic lower back pain remains a particular interest.
Trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I'm an acupuncturist, immersed in musculoskeletal anatomy, orthopaedics, dry needling, and neuroscience. This fusion of Eastern wisdom and Western science guides my approach, addressing both the root causes and the symptoms of pain.
I'm a huge fan of the effectiveness of the acupuncture needle for relieving pain, increasing range of motion, and stimulating the body's natural healing response.
Outside the clinic, I'm passionate about healthy movement, adventure, surfing, my faith, and my wonderful wife and three kids.
