Growing up, seeing my grandmother's books on anatomy and acupuncture — she was an Otago physiotherapy graduate herself — sparked a lifelong interest in holistic health care and set me on the path to becoming a physiotherapist. Originally from the Waikato, my path took a detour via the Australian Gold Coast before drawing me south to Ōtepoti, Dunedin, where I completed my degree at the University of Otago.
Alongside my clinical studies, I trained as a Hatha and Yin yoga instructor, teaching at Unipol while studying and now running community classes in Port Chalmers, all of which continue to shape how I work. My practice centres on motor control, postural stability, and body awareness — helping people understand how they move and build the habits to move well for life.
Outside the clinic, I'm embedded in Aotearoa's arts and music scene, running workshops that blend conscious movement and interoceptive awareness to support self management of pain.
