I originally grew up in Hamilton, where both my father and grandfather were Chiropractors. This experience from a young age led to the lifestyle it brought. I studied at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in Auckland, and after qualifying, I moved to Australia to work in Mackay. After a couple of years working there, I moved to Dunedin and haven't looked back.
My sporting background is in Hockey, Running, Cycling and Skiing, but nowadays, I spend more time running around the hills of Dunedin and socially competing in different multi sport events. I have a strong passion for sports and rehabilitation, and postgraduate qualifications from Otago Medical School in sports and exercise medicine. I have volunteered my time for sporting teams and athletes who have benefited from Chiropractic care. I am also a member of the Sports Chiropractic New Zealand Association.
Alongside my clinical work, I serve on the ACC Committee and the Hamblin Trust, which funds research into chiropractic care across Aotearoa. I previously sat on the New Zealand Chiropractic Association Council as Representation Chair, where I worked to use the collective strength of our membership to represent chiropractic and liaise with other organisations. With a new addition to our family, I have stepped back from that role to spend more time at home.
